This heavy-duty tripod adapter allows you to mount your NextDraw or AxiDraw to a tripod, should you have reason to do so. It is custom machined from a solid block of aluminum, and provides two standard tripod mounting points with 3/8-16 and light-duty 1/4-20* thread respectively.
Compatibility: This tripod mount is compatible only with specific machines:
- Bantam Tools NextDraw™ 8511
- Bantam Tools NextDraw™ 1117
- AxiDraw V3, AxiDraw V3/B6, AxiDraw V3/A3, AxiDraw V3 XLX
- AxiDraw SE/A4

We would highly recommend using a sturdy tripod with a 3/8-16 connection point and appropriate counterweight (sand bag, lifting weights, etc) to balance the weight of the NextDraw or AxiDraw while in use.
Installation is straightforward, and does not require any tools other than those included with the machine. For models with a silver-colored (aluminum extrusion) base, remove the existing foot pads (either standard or outrigger feet, depending on model) and attach this plate to the captured nuts in the bottom surface of the extrusion. For models with a black-colored (machined aluminum) base, the tripod adapter attaches directly to tapped holes in the base of the machine.
